The impact of Covid-19 on mental health amongst healthcare workers while working during a pandemic
A quantitative analysis using primary survey data from the MINDCOVID project (IMIM, Barcelona). Examined anxiety, PTSD, panic attacks, and suicidal ideation among 9,138 healthcare professionals across 19 Spanish hospitals during the initial pandemic wave (May 2020). Findings include that ~34% of participants reported elevated anxiety, over 22% showed signs of early PTSD, and ~8% reported suicidal ideation within the prior 30 days.
